Eromobil

Eromobil® is an innovative spark erosion machine developed by Waldmann & Weigl GmbH that offers an efficient solution for removing broken tools. Eromobil® can safely and quickly remove broken taps, drills, and reamers without damaging the workpiece. This portable device can be connected to various machine tools like pillar and radial drilling machines, as well as milling machines, which makes it a versatile and useful tool in different industries.

Removing broken tools can be both time-consuming and costly, especially in small-scale production and prototype manufacturing, where remaking a workpiece might prove impossible or extremely expensive. Eromobil® offers an economical and efficient alternative that minimizes production interruptions and conserves resources. The process typically uses a coolant-emulsion, ensuring that the workpiece remains completely undamaged.

The history of the Eromobil® device dates back to 1972, when it was first introduced by Waldmann & Weigl GmbH. In 2006, HandlingTech Automations-Systeme GmbH acquired the company and with it the Eromobil® production unit. Since 2014, the company has been operating under the name HandlingTech Automation Systeme GmbH, which is part of the Hutzel group. The company has strong expertise in developing and producing automation systems, which is reflected in the continuous development and innovation potential of Eromobil®.

The year 2014 brought a new range of products for the Eromobil® series, featuring an automatic feed function. This update improved the device's efficiency and usability. The product has also been recognized for its design and technical features, as evidenced by awards such as the German Design Award in 2016 and the Plus X Award in 2015.

During the 25th-anniversary celebration of HandlingTech Automations-Systeme GmbH in 2019, the company's commitment to future innovations and product development was emphasized.
