CGTech VERICUT - the world's leading CNC simulation and optimization software
Since 1988, CGTech's VERICUT has been the world-leading NC code simulation software. VERICUT offers a wide range of products and solutions that prevent your machine tools from colliding as well as make your production processes more efficient.
The VERICUT software simulates real NC data on digital machine tools so you can be more efficient, competitive, and profitable. A collision on a machine tool can be extremely costly and potentially ruin the machine, as well as delay your entire production schedule. With VERICUT, you can significantly reduce the possibility of errors and avoid wasting valuable production time testing new programs on the machine tool. CNC Machine Simulation detects collisions and near-miss situations between all parts of machine tools such as rotating tables, spindles, tool changers, fixtures, workpieces, tools, and other user-defined objects. You can set up "near-miss zones" around components to check for close calls and even detect machine tool motion range exceedances.
VERICUT allows for realistic 3D simulation of entire CNC machines with the most precise collision detection available. VERICUT Machine Simulation supports G-codes and
- Multi-axis milling, drilling, turning, grinding, and EDM machines
- Simultaneous milling and turning between different spindles and workpieces
- Machine tools with multiple synchronized CNC controls
- Accessories such as tailstocks, support bearings, part catchers, bar feeders, etc.
- Automated part picking or exportation to auxiliary spindle
With VERICUT CNC Simulation, you can:
- Simulate traditional 2- and 3-axis as well as multi-axis (4, 5, or more) CNC machine tools
- Avoid collisions with CNC machine tools
- Reduce the time required to implement new CNC machine tools
- Provide machine tool operators with unambiguous and clear instructions on new NC programs
- Improve the efficiency of the machining process
- Enhance operational safety
- Enhance documentation
- Train users without consuming expensive production time or risking damage to machines through collisions
VERICUT simulation is completely independent of the machine tool's control, tools, or CAM software and simulates all types, such as DMG Mori, Grob, Soraluce, Hermle, Makino, Mazak, Okuma, Matsuura, Haas, etc. It supports various machine tool controls like Heidenhain, Fanuc, Mazatrol, Yasnac, Siemens, Fadal, etc. VERICUT also offers interfaces to various CAM software like Mastercam, Gibbscam, Siemens NX, hyperMILL®, Surfcam, Esprit, etc., and tool systems like CoroPlus®, TDM systems, MachiningCloud, etc., aiding in the easy import of simulating machining paths, tools, fixtures, and others to the machine simulation, eliminating the need for re-definition in the VERICUT machine simulation.
VERICUT also offers toolpath optimization features, which can save valuable machine time, reduce tool costs, and extend machine tool life. VERICUT Force is a physics-based toolpath optimization method that determines the highest reliable feed for a particular cutting situation based on four factors:
Tool load, spindle power, maximum chip thickness, and maximum allowable feed. Force calculates the optimum feed rates by analyzing tool geometry and machining parameters, the properties of the material being machined, and the tool cutting edge geometry. Force calculates the cutting conditions based on specific material properties, considering material strength, and the effects of friction and temperature. Material properties are based on actual machining tests and not just hypothetical calculations.
Force is ideal for hard-to-machine materials and complex machining processes, such as 5-axis milling. VERICUT Force makes NC program optimization fast and easy. Force calculates the tool and material contact one chip at a time to adjust feed rates to optimal and keep cutting forces constant in all situations.
With Force toolpath optimization, you can also gain benefits such as:
- Cutting condition information for toolpath analysis
- Quick analysis for testing different machining scenarios
- Optimized chip thickness throughout the machining process
- Prevention of undesirable cutting conditions, such as excessive force, power requirements, torque, and tool deflection
