Mastercam File translators

Mastercam File Translators - Speed and Compatibility

Mastercam File Translators provide the ability to import and export files between different programs, which facilitates the editing and machining of diverse components. Mastercam includes a wide range of CAD model file translators, ensuring that regardless of the file's origin, it can be imported into Mastercam and tailored to meet machining needs.

Compatibility with Various CAD Formats

Mastercam's file importer supports many CAD file formats. Native CAD formats include Alibre Design, AutoCAD®, Autodesk® Inventor™, CATIA™, Creo®, KeyCreator®, Rhino, Siemens NX™, SOLIDWORKS®, SolidEdge, and SpaceClaim®. Additionally, supported solid modeling core file formats are ACIS and Parasolid®. Standard formats include IGES, STEP, STL, and VDA.

Model Based Definition (MBD) - Smarter Data Management

Many Mastercam file importers can bring in Model Based Definition (MBD) elements, which include intelligent dimensioning added to the file during its creation phase. Importing this data and automatically integrating it into Mastercam can significantly save time, reducing or eliminating the need for separate drawings. MBD entities can be imported from formats such as STEP, Siemens NX, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and CATIA V5.

Accelerate Machining

No matter where the CAD model originates, Mastercam's file translators allow you to get parts from machines faster and more efficiently, enabling seamless work across a range of file formats and speeding up the entire machining process.
