Mastercam Zip2Go Guide
The Mastercam Zip2Go feature makes it easier to share program files by compiling the necessary files into one package. This is especially useful in scenarios where tool libraries or machine files need to be shared to solve a problem.
Creating a Mastercam Zip2Go File
- Go to the "File" tab and select "Zip2Go". Alternatively, you can use the Zip2Go icon in the quick-access toolbar, usually located in the upper left corner of the interface.
- You will be prompted to save the part file.
- The Zip2Go wizard opens, offering three options: Create, Edit, and Extract. Select "Create".
- On the "File Options" page, you can choose which files to include in the Z2G file. You can remove or add files by unchecking the file type or deleting individual files from the list at the bottom of the page.
- On the next page, you can add additional files not directly related to Mastercam.
- Click "Finish", and you'll be prompted to save the Z2G file. The default save type is "content file", so select "Z2G" in the "Save As Type" dropdown.
Extracting a Mastercam Zip2Go File
- Drag the Z2G file into a new Mastercam session; the Zip2Go wizard will open automatically.
- Select a folder where you want to extract the Zip2Go file and choose "Extract as Flat View". This setting displays all files in one folder.
The Zip2Go wizard allows you to easily share and extract files with other Mastercam users, enhancing collaboration and problem-solving.
