Mastercam postprocessor modify request

The postprocessor editing process requires feedback from the customer because the NC code needs to be tested by the customer and given feedback to the postprocessor manufacturer.

Postprocessor testing should start with a simple test program that shows the most common machining plains and cycles. If the postprocessor is tested with a production part notice that the postprocessor does not yet produce the desired NC code and it may take time to make changes.

Postprocessor feedback is easy to give by making a test program with Mastercam, from which modifications are marked in the printed NC code, eg with * marks

Then send the modified NC code and the Mastercam file to Camcut Oy, which checks desired changes and discusses with the postprocessor manufacturer to make the necessary corrections.

If the customer does not know what commands the CNC machine needs, he should find out these from the machine seller.
